Overview

The platform uses a licence server to control which features are enabled and how many devices and users are allowed. The licence server is hosted at https://license-server.portal.kwgroup.org.uk.

Understanding Your Licence

Go to Admin → Licence to see your current licence status:

  • Licence Key — your unique identifier.
  • Plan — which tier your licence covers (e.g. Standard, Professional, Enterprise).
  • Expiry Date — when the licence needs renewing.
  • Features — the list of enabled feature codes.
  • Limits — maximum users, devices, and organisations.

Feature Codes

Each platform module has a feature code:

Activating a Licence

  1. Go to Admin → Licence → Activate.
  2. Enter your licence key.
  3. Click Activate. The portal communicates with the licence server and downloads the signed licence payload.
  4. Features update immediately without a restart.

Renewing a Licence

Contact your account manager or the KW Group support team at noc@kwgroup.uk to renew. Once the licence is renewed on the server, your portal will pick up the update automatically within 24 hours, or trigger an immediate refresh with Admin → Licence → Refresh.

Offline Mode

If your platform instance cannot reach the licence server (air-gapped environment), contact KW Group for an offline licence file. Upload it at Admin → Licence → Upload Offline Licence.

Licence Monitoring

The platform can alert you when your licence approaches expiry. Configure alerts at Admin → Licence → Expiry Alerts. Alerts appear in the RMM alert feed under the LICENSE_EXPIRY category.
